Join the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (CAPG) for an informal evening of conversation, problem-solving, and shared learning.
This month’s Genealogy Café will be an open discussion rather than a formal presentation. Participants are invited to bring something they have been learning, a recent discovery, a research or professional challenge, a useful resource or technique, or simply a question they would enjoy discussing with other genealogists.
The conversation is intended especially for professional genealogists and experienced researchers, but everyone interested in genealogy is welcome. You do not need to bring a topic or prepare anything in advance. Join the discussion, ask questions, contribute your experience, or simply listen and see where the conversation leads.
Possible topics might include:
- a research problem or unexpected finding;
- a new resource, database, or research technique;
- something that has improved your research or professional workflow;
- a client, business, teaching, technology, or genealogy-practice question;
- a lesson learned from a recent project, conference, class, or presentation; or
- a challenge where another researcher’s perspective might help.
The October Café also takes the place of CAPG’s regularly scheduled Loveland Midweek Meetup that day, bringing everyone together for one online conversation.
No formal presentation. No preparation required. Just bring your curiosity and experience.
